Extensive Hem Soiling – Minimum $100 Cleaning Fee

To prevent this, we recommend adding Clutch Glue to your order or choosing a garment that suits your event environment (such as considering length and colour for outdoor or potentially muddy venues).

Extensive hem soiling is not considered normal wear and tear and will incur a minimum cleaning fee of $100, with additional charges applicable where cleaning, restoration, or repairs exceed this amount.

What counts as hem soiling: Significant dirt, mud, staining, or discolouration along the hemline caused by garments dragging on the ground, contact with unsuitable surfaces, or being worn in environments inappropriate for the garment's length or fabric. 

Why this policy exists: Hem soiling is a preventable form of damage that can severely compromise delicate fabrics, require specialised restoration, or result in permanent staining. This policy helps protect the condition and longevity of our collection for future renters.

Renter responsibility: Renters are responsible for reviewing garment length measurements prior to booking, selecting an appropriate garment for their height and footwear, and exercising care to prevent the hem from dragging.

Insurance Exclusion: Extensive hem soiling is excluded from Damage Waiver/Insurance coverage. All cleaning or restoration fees will be assessed based on the extent of the soiling and the labor required to restore the garment.
